2.1 Evaluation
Stop motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own.
2. How is motion created using stop motion animation?
taking a series of images and then splicing them together in a series. Its like flipping through a picture book.
3. What material is needed to create stop motion animation?
make-up supplies, including latex, foam latex, rubber mask grease paints, and derma wax
4. How is stop motion animation different from other forms of movies?
stop motion is diffrent from other form of movies because in a regular movie you are
using actors and other forms of people to make that film happen. and stop motion animation
you are useing animated characters and they arent using any words in the film,they are using they body to express whats happening in every scene.
5. Describe the steps you need to follow in order to create a stop animation film.
Get objects and figures to use in your movie
Set up the figures
Place your camera in front of the "set" that you are going to take photos of.
Set up a good source of lighting.
Take a single photo of the figure in the selected position
Begin the movement sequence.
Observe the following sequence
Repeat the movement sequence until your action step is completed,
or your camera's memory is full.
Use your movie-making software as instructed
Add effects or transitions, or whatever else you feel makes it look good.
Share your movie.

it express the mood and whats going on in the film

sample 1: that cat was dreaming that he was in space
sample 2: this one is basically telling that they are getting ready for a wedding and they got married.

the story behind my psa is that if your gay you shouldnt feel ashamed because you are people to. dont feel like you have to change just to fit in wit the crowd. if you no what you like why should it matter what or who anyne else like only you matter to you. think about it?

2. What social issue have you been assigned?
the social issue i have been assigned to is sexual orientation tolerance
3. In order to develop an effective PSA you must feel a personal connection to the social issue that you are addressing. What does this social issue mean to you?
the social issue means alot to me because my friend is gay and every time he walk out side people makes smart remarks about him and he always feel a shamed, like he's not wanted in the world. i would like to change that because its not right to talk about people even if thy like the same sex.

the group that will be affected are homo sexual's, gays, and bi sexuals.

the negative impact that the issue can have is that some people might make fun of the people that come out to the world and tell them who they are and the world might not except it because of the fact that they are who they are.

- What is a public service announcement (PSA)?
is an advertisement broadcast on radio or television, for the public interest. PSAs are intended to modify public attitudes by raising awareness about specific issues. The most common topics of PSAs are health and safety. - Describe an example of a PSA you have seen before.
One PSA i saw was about watching what you say when you say something is gay. the PSA took place in a pizza shop and teens was saying that something was so gay when they really meant something was stupid or dum and the lady basically told them to knock it off cause some people might take it offensive. - What social benefit is promoted by the PSA you selected in question 2?

NAPWA (GET TESTED) - What social issues do you feel strongly about? One social issue that i feel strongly about is HIV and AIDS because i think it would be better for people to (GET TESTED) so they wouldnt spread the virus more then it already is.
